| Allison is a regular columnist for the Poughkeepsie Journal, a Gannet Newspaper. Her column, "Understanding Adolescence" appears bi-weekly in the Sunday Family section. "Understanding Adolescence" is a clinically sound, sometimes lighthearted survival guide and "how-to" manual for the parents of teens. Allison writes from experience: she is the mother of 3 adolescents and a nine year old. Allison also writes a column for "Living and Being" magazine, a health and wellness publication. She writes on topical issues in emotional and spiritual wellness as well as self-help strategies. Allison freelances for other publications, and is working on a collection of creative non-fiction stories for publication. |
